The meeting was called to order at 3:05 pm by President Carie Siegfried.

Officer Reports:

President, Carie Siegfried:

*FCTFA agenda reviewed and committee list (4)

*FCTFA definition and bylaws reviewed

*Explained rationale for speakers at meetings is to better educate Taskforce members on serving seniors' needs.

*Spoke about growing professionally as an organization and moving forward in 2009 by working together on quarterly service projects to benefit older adults in the community.  Ideas and suggestions for service projects, etc. are welcomed and encouraged - e-mail or call Carie (info can be found in the membership directory). 

Vice President, Nicole Cha:

*Reiterated that the role of VP is to schedule speakers and meeting locations - if you have a topic idea or speaker, please contact Nicole (info can be found in the membership directory).

*The February meeting will be held at Altercare in Canal Winchester.

Treasurer, Monica Mayer:

*The current account balance is $1,510.08.

*Dues forms can be picked up at the meeting(s) or downloaded off the web site (click on members tab). 

Secretary, Bobbi Reed:

*Responsible for e-mailing meeting reminders and taking minutes.  Meeting reminders will no longer be sent via U.S. mail but solely by e-mail now.  This will cut down on cost and allow more money to be spent on service projects to benefit seniors.

*Members are encouraged to get more involved with the Taskforce by sitting on a committee.  Committee options include: Advocacy, Legislative, Web site, and Membership.  If you are interested in chairing or sitting on one of these committees, please contact Bobbi (info can be found in membership directory).

*It was suggested we list and provide input of community agencies on our web site as well as other contact resources.

*Community Event: Metro Parks and Arthritis Foundation; 2/2009 Gala (www.arthritis.org)
