The meeting was called to order at 3:10pm by FCTFA Vice President, Nicole Cha.

Officer Reports:

President, Carie Siegfried:

*Absent so VP led meeting. 

Vice President, Nicole Cha:

*Passed around the 2010 meeting location/speaker schedule.  Members should contact Nicole if they would like to host a meeting next year or if they know a good (free) presenter (approx. 30 min. presentations).

*The Dec. meeting/holiday party will be held at Buck Mulligans in Gahanna.  NOTE CHANGE: Following this meeting, it was learned that Buck Mulligans has closed.  VP is working on finding a new location - it will be posted on the web site ASAP.

Treasurer, Monica Mayer:

*Current account balance has not changed but will decrease by $400.00 following the meeting. 

*At this meeting, 2 checks were written and given to the Philanthropy Chair to present on our behalf to 2 local senior-serving organizations.  LifeCare Alliance and Home Instead's "Be A Santa To A Senior" Program each received $200.00 to benefit their cause.  This money will be used to help seniors in need. 

*Membership dues forms can be picked up at meetings or printed from the web site and mailed with a check to the PO Box (details on the application) or turned in at the meeting.  The group was reminded of the new fee structure - 1st mtg is free, subsequent meetings are $5/mtg, dues paid in Nov/Dec are good for the following year.  Membership dues can be paid at any time but are not pro-rated.  Sign-in sheet was passed around.

Secretary:

*Minutes for previous meetings can be found on the FCTFA web site. 

Committee Reports:

*Legislative: no report

*Membership: no report

*Web site: The committee is putting together a report to pass on to next year's committee. 

*Advocacy/Philanthropy: The project for the rest of this year will be assisting with the Be A Santa To A Senior program sponsored by Home Instead.  There are multiple ways to help out so everyone was encouraged to get involved!  See the 'home' page of this web site for details. 

Old Business:

*Elections will take place in December.  Only members can vote!!

New Business/Announcements:

*2010 officer nomination forms were distributed and collected.  Nominations can still be submitted thru the FCTFA e-mail address found on the main page of the web site (deadline is 12/1/09).  Nominees will then be called and a final ballot will be voted on next month.  Pay your dues and come vote in Dec. for next year's officers!
